This medium thick paper is recommended for general applications with medium-heavy solute loading. Like Grade 238, Ahlstrom-Munksjö grade 237 is ideal for use as wicks in protein or nucleic acid blotting to provide a uniform flow of butter through the gel to the transfer membrane in a blotting sandwich. Ahlstrom-Munksjö Grade 237 is also suited for electrophoresis and the separation of inorganic compounds.
