This medium thick paper is recommended for general applications with medium-heavy solute loading. Like Grade 238, this grade is ideal for use as wicks in protein or nucleic acid blotting to provide a uniform flow of butter through the gel to the transfer membrane in a blotting sandwich. Grade 237 is also suited for electrophoresis and the separation of inorganic compounds.
